Belinda Lo

BSc (Hons), MSc

DPhil Student

I am a full-time DPhil student under the supervision of Dr. Suzannah Williams and Prof. Dagan Wells. My DPhil is jointly funded by the Clarendon Scholarship and the Medical Sciences Graduate School Scholarship.

My research is focused on exploring the effects of cryopreservation on ovarian follicles using the chimeric ovary technique. The overall aim is to provide women with ovarian or blood-borne cancers an option to preserve fertility, without the risk of cancer cell reintroduction. To further allow translation into the clinic, I will also be exploring potential sources of somatic cells.

I am also the current MCR Vice President/Secretary at Worcester College.

Prior to my DPhil, I completed the MSc in Clinical Embryology at the University of Oxford (2014), and BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science (2013) at Imperial College London.
