I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree with honours- BmedSci (Hons) in 2002 and Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery- BMBS in 2004. I completed my clinical training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Yorkshire Deanery and East Midlands Healthcare Workforce deanery, obtaining my CCT in 2013. I then decided to pursue a combined clinical and academic career and commenced a Clinical Research Fellow job at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The job comprises a 50% clinical component and a 50% research component. In 2014, I successfully applied for a Master of Science by research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Oxford. I am currently in my final year of a distance learning Masters in Healthcare Education at Sheffield Hallam University having completed the PGCert and PgDip years. I am a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

My current research involves studying issues relating to gestational weight gain and maternal anthropometry. During my time at NDOG, I have carried out a systematic review into the quality of methodology in studies creating gestational weight gain standards. My supervisor is Dr. Jane E. Hirst and I work closely with members of the Intergrowth-21st group.
I am proficient in the management of a wide range of complex obstetric and gynaecological problems. My areas of special interest are Advanced Labour Ward Practice, Early Pregnancy, Emergency Gynaecology and Medial Education. I am also interested in Global maternal heath and Recurrent miscarriage. I am certified to perform early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound scanning. In addition I carry out outpatient hysteroscopy clinics and various gynaecological operations.

- Continue interest in global maternal health and contribute my skills to this cause
