Eisa Aleisaei

DPhil Student

I am a first-year DPhil student at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  My supervisor is  Dr. Kevin Coward, the director of the Master program in Clinical Embryology. Our lab is based at the Institute of Reproductive Sciences in Cowley.

My main research is focused on nanotechnology in embryology. We are investigating the safety profile, nanotoxicity,  and potential  research applications of silica nanoparticles in early embryo development.

I was awarded the ‘National Teaching Assistant Scholarship’ by the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) so my DPhil is funded through UAEU and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in UAE.  Prior to my DPhil, I completed my MBBS at UAEU - Al Ain city, and MSc in Clinical Embryology at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
