DPhil Student

I am a full time DPhil student at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  I am under the supervision of Dr Kevin Coward and we are based at the Institute of Reproductive Sciences, Oxford.
My main research is focused on male-factor infertility, specifically the association of a sperm-specific protein termed Phospholipase C Zeta (PLCζ) and the infertile condition, oocyte activation deficiency (OAD).  In addition to this, I am also investigating novel therapeutic interventions for OAD.
I was awarded the ‘Chancellor’s Scholarship’ by the Universiti of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) so my DPhil is fully funded through UBD and the Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam.  Prior to my DPhil, I completed a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences at Royal Holloway, University of London and MSc in Clinical Embryology at the University of Oxford.
